Here are the three <br />most time-consuming,<br />unnecessary tasks. 1. Lengthy Commuting<br /><br />According to the 2018 U.S. Census<br />Bureau, the average commute to<br />work takes 27 minutes. That amounts to approximately 5.6 years<br />spent commuting during the average worker’s <br />career, or roughly 13 percent of their workday. 2. Useless Meetings<br />A study conducted by MIT found<br />that the average worker spends<br />22 years of their career in meetings. An estimated third of those meetings are believed<br />to be of no value, meaning 16 percent of one’s<br />career is spent in useless meetings. 3. Irrelevant Emails<br />According to ‘Forbes,’ the average worker<br />spends 1.8 hours daily reading and responding<br />to emails that aren’t relevant to their job. Over a 45-year career, that’s a total of 10 years spent<br />on irrelevant emails, which comes out to 23 percent.
